Throughout history people have told stories to share knowledge or to paint pictures for a better understanding.

Stories were told to make a living by serving at court – praising and honoring the heroic adventures of noblemen or simply to cheer up the regular folk in return for food, a bed for the night or a handful coins as a reward.

A good storyteller would conjure vivid images in the minds of his audience.

Every story has at least a grain of truth in it; sometimes served with a wink as garnish.
